Flesh Resource Direct, a division of The Flesh Company, has changed its name to Concentric Sourcing, effective October 4th, 2004. The new name is representative of the company’s strategic direction to meet ever-increasing client needs. With its roots in printing distribution, Concentric Sourcing has evolved its offerings to provide everyday business expense items in a wide array of categories through customized online procurement portals for its clients. The company continues its aggressive growth by uniquely partnering with businesses in a variety of industries to provide commercial printing, company store items, business products, and warehousing and distribution services. Recent acquisitions of several major accounts have helped to fuel aggressive growth.

Why are you changing your name?
Over the past several years, our business has continued to change, sometimes dramatically, and we have worked hard to keep up with those changes. We have evolved from selling printing to adding promotional products and most recently adding office supplies to our product mix. In addition, we are providing our clients with a customized procurement portal to purchase all of these items. Our new name is a reflection of our new focus on providing measurable value to our clients.

Were there other considerations regarding the name change?
The journey regarding our name change began around the New Year and it was not an easy one. The Flesh Company has been in business since 1913 and when we changed the name of our division to Flesh Resource Direct several years ago, we were attempting to capture our change in direction and reflect our heritage from this great company.

Are other changes taking place?
We have the same great company, the same great service and the same great people. We will continue to add new products and services to expand our offering and the value we provide the client. For the most part, what will be changing is a continual improvement in the way we do business.

What does “Concentric Sourcing” mean?
Concentric circles are circles that share the same center – for example, the rings of a tree, or ripples in a pond. The center of these circles represents our client (customer). The first ring outside of the center represents our company. The outer circles represent all of the products and services that we provide to our clients. The term Sourcing represents our core competency – that is finding and providing a broad array of items for our clients. We source literally hundreds of thousands of items – 35,000 business products, promotional products from 10,000 manufacturers, and an unlimited possibility of commercial printing and forms. We also have been able to find unusual items for our client, saving them time and helping to make their jobs easier. We end up being THE source for everyday expense items for our clients. |
